Simba sleep claims to offer an award-winning Simba Hybrid mattress that combines the support of 2,500 pocket springs with the comfort of memory foam to scientifically engineer you the perfect nights sleep.
Is it a bold claim or is it really one of the best mattresses in the Australian market?
Simba mattress is sold worldwide including the UK and Europe so it’s a fairly large company offering a 100 night trial, 0% finance payments and free delivery and returns.
Simba Mattress Review
Unlike many other mattress in a box products, the Simba mattress can’t be customised by flipping top foam layers meaning you’re stuck with the standard configuration.
However don’t be put off by this, aside from being one of the easiest mattresses to inflate out of the box and the stand out feature of this mattress compared to most others is the inclusion of springs.
This gives you a more responsive comfort of memory foam and support from springs from head to toe.
After a few weeks of using the mattress the top layer feels supportive on the back and spine compared with mattresses that only offer memory foam, no springs. Heavier users may find the Simba a good option as most sink too far down into traditional foam mattresses causing back issues.
During our testing we found that this mattress did cause some partner disturbance (probably from the springs) but it was very minimal and given the price is a great option.
If you’ve got a restless partner then you may want to look for something with a lower partner disturbance level such as a Ergoflex.
This is a perfect mattress for anyone who may have considered an Eva mattress but wants the comfort of a memory foam mattress.
If money is an issue you’d be better placed buying something like the 624 mattress.
However, the Simba mattress placed highly in our Best Boxed Mattress for 2019.
Simba Pricing
I’m a big believer in buying a queen mattress but if you’re looking for something smaller or even larger then they offer the standard range, single, king single, double, queen, king.
The pricing is on the expensive size, it’s one of the most expensive in the boxed Australian market.
Size | Price (Sale) |
Single | $799 |
King Single | $N/A |
Double | $899 |
Queen | $1199 |
King | $1299 |

How To Buy Simba Mattress?
If you’re ready to buy one of their mattresses then you’ve got a few options. The easiest is to buy direct from their website. There are some complaints about the delivery times and lack of communication updates so if you’re looking to get a mattress quickly, Simba probably isn’t your best choice.
They recently closed their website for maintenance and it’s been offline for a while.
You can choose to pay with Afterpay or Zip Pay.
Other options include Paypal, Credit Card and direct bank transfer.
How To Buy Online?
If you do decide to buy your mattress through the official website make sure you enter the special promo code to get your $300 coupon (see above) they regularly run. If it’s nearly end of finance year then you may get an even bigger discount.
Your 100 night trial starts from the date your mattress is delivered, not the date you order. Western Australia and rural customers may need to wait additional 3-5 days for delivery whereas metro customers can expect delivery within 1-7 days.
Not rural but not metro either? Your mattress is usually delivered within 2-3 days.
